Die Macher

Quick look by Moritz Eggert

How to describe “Die Macher” to the uninitiated? Well, imagine a game that makes even
non-Germans develop a keen interest in the otherwise extremely boring German election system –
people who hate statistics and percentages suddenly strive for parties they have never heard of in
their life. The game is a realistic simulation on one hand, a superb puzzle for gamer geeks on the
other hand. Although completely abstract it is a totally engrossing, if not a little dry game. Let
“the spin doctors” (a rough English translation of “Die Macher”) rule
forever!
