The „worker placement“ genre is dominant as never before at the moment. Which is ok, if the mechanics – like in the usually reliable games of publisher Ystari – become more and more refined. “Spyrium” is a cyberpunk game in which mining for the rare mineral “Spyrium” is the main theme. We build a little industry empire made up of cards and use worker actions to maximize our income. A nice idea is the beginning of the “Action Phase” which can be announced individually by each player. Certainly not a fast game for in between, but enough food for thought for action maximizing specialists. |
